ANIMALCARE SHELTER FOR KENT COUNTY:  Rollo

Rollo

When Rollo arrived at ACSKC, we were struck by how handsome he is! This one-year-old lab-rottie mix has bright tawny eyes, sleek fur, and looong legs. While initially shy in his new surroundings, Rollo has since become the type of dog who gives kisses with pleasure. He loves to run around the Big Yard, chasing after the flirt pole—a long rod with a braided fleece lure tied off at the end. It makes it feel like you’re going fishing, and with Rollo, the catch is always big! Rollo was surrendered due to his habit of jumping his owner's fence in order to go for a swim in the nearby pond. Clearly this guy loves the water! He also enjoys car rides, so taking trips to places where he can splash around would be a double-win for him! Rollo gets along well with other dogs, and could have a friend in the home. His ideal canine companion would be someone his size who is okay with a little vocalization while playing. If kids are in the home, they should be about 12 or older, as Rollo doesn't seem to know how big he really is! Cast your line for Rollo by submitting your application at kenthumane.org. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the Animal Care Shelter for Kent County is open by appointment only. Once your application is approved, we will set up an appointment with you!
