Whether you want to try your hand at portraiture or include these pets in the landscape or even still life, this class will add some skills to your toolbox. Included will be:

Photographing the uncooperative animal
Selecting the right references
Basic anatomy and where to begin your drawing/painting
Expression and gestures
Fur patterns and color
Getting a likeness
Demos will be in oil and sharpie. Students should bring iPhones or iPads or digital cameras, their painting gear, and a sketch book. Well behaved dogs will be welcome to class and used as models. Dog treats are optional!

Experience level: Intermediate
