WCTR Junior DJ Program

Picture
Every week, WCTR invites Character Counts students from local schools to participate in our "Junior DJ" program.  The student comes to our studios at 8:00 on Friday mornings during the school year to join morning host Keith Thompson on "The Shore Morning Show".  They get to read the weather reports, talk about the Character Counts program in their school, introduce music, and talk about a variety of good things, including happenings in their school and their future plans.

     The pillars of Character Counts are:
        *  Trustworthiness
        *  Respect
        *  Responsibility
        *  Fairness
        *  Caring
        *  Citizenship

     We proud to recognize the young people in our schools for their achievements, and to thank the local schools for the commitment to the Character Counts Program.

     So every Wednesday morning during the school year, tell your family and friends to tune in to WCTR.  They just might hear their children on the air.

     For more information about the Character Counts program, go to  http://cckentmd.org.
